There are plenty of obstacles and even more excuses to postpone a run. Florida has hot and humid temperatures, busy trails and not to mention an entire season dedicated to hurricanes. That’s why I invested in the Merax Treadmill to help keep me accountable for the times I try to get out of running. Being in the air conditioning with a fan blowing on you while you get to watch your favorite soccer team play on TV is far better than cancelling a run outside because it’s raining.

This treadmill was easy to assemble, folds up nicely, inexpensive when compared to others and makes for a convenient run even when you don’t feel like going outside. You can add the Merax Treadmill to your home gym arsenal without the high price tag to make the ultimate upgrade. With a 5” LED screen you can effortlessly keep track of your calories burned, speed and distance. The Merax Treadmill has a grass pattern anti-slip belt design that provides optimum friction for enhanced grip and traction while running. If you sweat like I do, you won’t have to worry about slipping.

If you are an experienced runner, run at a fast pace or really enjoy your LSD runs then this treadmill isn’t for you. The Merax Treadmill tops out at 7.5mph and is more suited for walking, getting in some slower miles or great for active recovery days. Due to not having a cooling system it also suggests that you can only run for about 60 minutes at a time so that the motor doesn’t overheat.

Below are some questions I came up with before I purchased the Merax Treadmill:

Does this treadmill incline?

The Merax Treadmill does not incline. This is a simple treadmill and doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but it definitely gets the job done.

Does this fold up?

Yes, this treadmill folds up easily and stores nicely in a closet when not in use.

Will this damage the floor when using it?

I recommend purchasing interlocking gym floor mats to put this treadmill on. I recently had laminate flooring installed and didn’t want to take a chance.

Is it easy to put together?

Yes, this was extremely easy to put together. After taking it out of the box it was delivered in, the only thing to attach were the legs and the rubber feet.

What are other specifics about this treadmill?
