Product review: Active Wear Laundry Detergent
Vikes Rating: 9/10
When your clothes still smell after you wash them, smell even worse when you’re finished with your activity and your wife is plugging her nose when you walk by then it’s time to make some detergent changes. After trying Active Wear a couple times I could already tell that the stinky issues I was having were gone
Active Wear is unscented, which is nice because I don’t like smelling any type of fragrance while I’m out on a run or working out at the gym. My active clothes are all dark so I only use cold water when using this detergent, but you can use hot or cold water. With 3 simple steps, I can easily dump my clothes in the machine, sprinkle 1-2 scoops and turn on the machine.
This plant based detergent is free from SLS free, phosphate free, gluten-free and septic safe. Other detergents coat the fibers in modern activewear, trapping sweat and body oils which leads to odors. Active Wear is designed to penetrate through the technical fibers breaking down the built up sweat and body oils.
Is this product unscented?
Yes! If you are sensitive to strong smelling detergents, this product is great because it is unscented and has no smell at all.
Can I use this along with my regular detergent?
Yes! I use this specifically for my active clothing since those tend to get a funky smell to them and also add in my regular determinant with cold water.
Do you have to use cold water when using this detergent?
You don’t have to use cold water, hot water works just as effective. Cold water is recommended since that temperature is better for dark clothes.
How do you use this detergent?
There are 3 simple steps to using this product:
- Add clothes to the washing machine
- Sprinkle 1-2 scoops of Active over clothes
- Wash with cold or hot water
Is this detergent plant based?
Active Wear is plant based. Free from SLS free, phosphate free, gluten-free, septic safe. Made with plant based enzymes.
Would I recommend it?
If you are having trouble with smelly clothes even before you start working out, I would absolutely recommend Active Wear. Although my active clothes are not entirely stink free, they are so much better after using this detergent.
